Orange Glazed Wreaths
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
2 tbsp Natalie’s Orange Juice
1 tbsp orange zest
½ cup powdered sugar
Fresh rosemary for garnish
Round red sprinkles for garnish
Directions
1. In a stand mixer cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt for 2-3 minutes.
2. Turn off the mixer and add the flour and mix on medium speed until just incorporated.
3. Turn the dough out onto some plastic wrap, form into a disk and wrap in the plastic wrap.
4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes while you make the glaze.
5. In a small bowl combine the powdered sugar, orange zest, and orange juice. Whisk well.
6. On a floured surface, roll out the dough and cut out 24 scalloped cookies.
7. Then take a smaller round cookie cutter and cut out the centers, forming a wreath. Discard remaining dough.
8. Place all cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 325 for 10-12 minutes until the edges are slightly golden brown.
9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
10. Take the cookies and dip into the orange glaze and place on a plate. Repeat for all cookies.
11. Before the icing has set, add a small sprig of rosemary and 1-2 round sprinkles to each cookie to decorate the wreath. Enjoy!
